Sunday, November 24, was Thanksgiving Sunday at Trinity. The altar was specially decorated with fall vegetables in honor of Thanksgiving.
The youth LIGHT@9 class assisted Parkside Pantry volunteers in packing Thanksgiving boxes to be handed out to neighborhood families experiencing food insecurity. Trinity members are amazing and generous. On the previous Sunday, an announcement was made that turkeys would not be available from the Food Bank this year. Trinity members stepped up to the challenge and by the time fellowship hour ended, volunteers had stepped up to purchase the needed 35 turkeys!
Each box contained the makings for Thanksgiving Dinner plus other assorted food items.
We are grateful to the youth for helping out with the packing of the boxes.
These are some photos from Thanksgiving Sunday. Additional photos from the day can be found on the Trinity Photo Blog.
