Rev. Dr. David Calhoun

Pastor

Our pastor is Rev. Dr. David Calhoun who has served in the ministry for thirty-three years including churches of various sizes and configurations in Colorado, Nebraska, Maine, and Massachusetts. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado; a Master of Divinity degree from the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado; and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington D.C. For the past eight years, he has served as District Superintendent for the Connecticut/Western Massachusetts District and then the Seacoast District of the New England Annual Conference.

Cathy MacGovern

Spiritual Director

Cathy MacGovern has been a member of Trinity since 1984. In 1991 she was consecrated as a Diaconal Minister and spent 25 years of her ministry with Preachers Aid Society of New England before retiring in 2017. In 2010 she completed her spiritual direction training through Tending the Soul led by The Rev. Wendy J. Miller. She completed advanced training in Gateways to God led by Dr. Heidi Miller in 2018. Cathy resides in Springfield and enjoys walking, reading, and time with her grandchildren.

Anthony Lamourt

Director of Music Ministries

Anthony is a native of New York City and has been a professional organist and choir director since his early teenage years. Mr. Lamourt received his BM in Organ Performance from Thomas Edison University and has done graduate work in music at Manhattan School of Music and Mannes School of Music. He is currently completing his Master of Divinity at the Chicago Theological Seminary. Active in chamber music, choral direction, composition and jazz, Anthony also plays several instruments including the harpsichord, fortepiano, xylophone, vibraphone.

Rob Powell, M. Div.

Director of Family Ministries and Connections

Rob Powell supports programs for children, youth, and families in the areas of Christian Education, discipleship, mission, and outreach. Prior to Trinity, Rob worked as the Director of Clergy Family Services - Southwest Region with the Preacher’s Aid Society of New England. Rob received his Master of Divinity from the Boston University School of Theology in May of 2024. Rob lives in Sunderland, MA with his husband and four year old child. Some of Rob’s favorite activities include cooking, reading, and exploring new places.

Eileen Drumm Moore

Church Administrator

Eileen Drumm Moore comes to us after 10 years working as an Executive Director for Senior Living Communities, 6 of those years at Mason Wright Senior Living in Springfield. Trinity is not her first church job, having served at Faith United Church of Christ in various capacities including Director of Christian Education and Alto Soloist in the choir. Eileen has also worked as a Hospice Coordinator of Bereavement and Volunteer Services and a Hospice Service Representative. She is thrilled to be part of the Trinity United Methodist Church team. When not working, Eileen and her husband Bob enjoy golfing, kayaking, cooking and relaxing on their front porch.

Doreen Bessey

Administrative Assistant

Doreen Bessey wears many hats to keep the office running smoothly. Previously, she worked as an accounting clerk, customer service representative, and a medical receptionist. Doreen grew up in Springfield, and graduated from Cathedral High School. She has two sons and enjoys participating in several women’s churchgroups. She is a huge NASCAR fan and Red Sox fan!

Carlos Manning

Head Sexton

Carlos Manning hails from Jamaica originally and has been in the U.S. for over 25 years. He joined the Trinity staff in 2015 after working in a synagogue in Queens, NY, for nearly 20 years. He lives in the Forest Park Community with his son. He has a daughter who lives in New York City.
