Leaving Your Child in the Nursery
The Trinity Nursery strives to provide a safe, loving and happy environment for your children. Please help us maintain this goal by following the guidelines.
~ A sign-in sheet is provided in the nursery. Please sign your child in and out.
~ Goodbyes can be difficult for some children. Prolonging the goodbye makes it more difficult. If you get down on the floor and play with your child, it raises their expectations that you will stay. Let the caregivers help you with goodbyes. Also tell your child when you will return.
~ Please pick up your child promptly (by 12 PM) and personally. Notify Brittaney if another adult is going to pick up your child. Please note that only an adult may drop off or pick up children.
~ Please do not have your children bring their own toys (except a special comfort item).
~ At pick up time, Brittaney is available to talk with you regarding any questions or nursery news.
Volunteers are an important part of our nursery care giving team. Along with Brittaney, adults and youth (ages 13 and older) provide care in the nursery. Parents are encouraged to work in the church nursery at least one Sunday every 4-6 weeks. This will give you an opportunity to serve in an important and vital ministry of the church and to become better acquainted with the staff, children, other volunteers, and parents.
For Your Child
Please include these necessary items in the diaper bag: 3-4 diapers; baby wipes; plastic bottles filled with formula, juice, water, milk; special snack; comfort items (pacifier), and a change of clothing.
If Your Child is Sick
We strive to provide a healthy environment for all. Please keep your children at home if they exhibit any of the following symptoms and/or illnesses within the previous 24 hours: fever, heavy nasal discharge, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious rash, ear infection, strep throat, pink eye, chicken pox or impetigo.
