TNSK: Programs

Trinity Nursery School and Kindergarten offers a wide variety of schedule options. Students are placed in classes according to age.  Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis according to the date of enrollment.

Trinity Nursery School and Kindergarten operates on a school year calendar from September to June, with summer camp options available through cooperating child care programs.

School hours are from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Half day programming ends at 11:30 AM or 1:00 PM; Early drop-off is available starting at 7:30 AM; Extended care is available until 5:00 PM.

The children at Trinity are given the opportunity to learn in many ways based on their own cognitive abilities.  We offer a theme based curriculum throughout all of our classrooms as well as focusing on one letter of the alphabet each week.

Group 1
In group 1, the children spend most of their day exploring through play. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play. Their days are filled with music, art, dance, story time and more.

Group 2
In group 2, the children learn through music, movement, art, creative and sensory play. They also work on letters, shapes, colors and name recognition. They focus on the social tools needed to communicate, share, take turns and to have empathy for others.

Pre-K Program

Our Pre-K program focuses on getting the children ready for kindergarten. The curriculum we follow is packed with educational elements. We teach pre-reading skills like phonemic awareness and letter and sound recognition; basic math concepts; and hands-on science exploration.

Kindergarten

Mirroring the state curriculum standards, the kindergartners focus on letter sounds, phonics, handwriting, reading, math, science and social studies.
