Worship

Worship is central to our life at Trinity Church.  Our worship service is the time when we come together to celebrate God’s love.

When is the service?

Our Sunday service begins at 10:30 a.m. and ends around 11:45 p.m.

Weather Cancellations

We almost never cancel our Sunday morning worship service.  However, if we feel that the weather is making it unsafe for travel and we need to cancel, we will post an announcement on our home page.

Will there be things for my children to do?

Yes!  As you enter through the main doors, you will see a table to your left, with children’s books, coloring projects, crayons, and stuffed animals. Your children are welcome to use any of these items during the service.  Please have them return the items to the table after the service, so that they’ll be available again on the following Sunday.

We offer a Bible Story Time for children ages 4-6, during our worship service, downstairs next to the Nursery.  The children learn stories of the Bible through reading, playing games, and making art projects.

Children ages 7-12 begin in the worship service with their parents and are welcome to come forward for the the children’s moment.  Afterwards, they can return to their parents or go to Chapel Kids (held in the Chapel, which is through the door on the right, near the front of the church).  Chapel Kids is creative, interactive, prayerful, and spiritually moving. If your child goes to the Chapel, you will need to meet them there after the sermon ends, to bring them back to your seat in the sanctuary.

Our Church School meets from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.  We have classes for ages 4 through adult.  You can find more information about how to register them for classes, and how to sign them in, by visiting our Education and Formation page.

Can I bring my infant or toddler?

Of course!  We love to have little ones with us during our worship services.  And, if your child becomes restless, feel free to leave at any time and go downstairs to the nursery.  The usher you met, when you came in the main doors, can show you where the nursery is.  Our nursery is specially staffed to care for children up through the age of 3.  If your child needs you, one of our nursery volunteers will come find you.   Or you can choose to remain in the nursery, and listen to the service there through our audio system.  Our nursery is open from 8:45am until noon, so that you and your older children can participate in our Church School classes, too.

What if I, or someone with me, has special needs?

We hope you will all come!  Our congregation includes a number of people with physical challenges, developmental disabilities and/or memory issues, and they are very much a part of our church.  We hope you will feel “at home” here, too.  We have handicap parking spaces in our parking lot, closest to the front doors of our building.  The sidewalk that goes past the front doors leads to another door with a wheel-chair ramp.  Our ushers can provide you with large-print bulletins and hymnals, and hearing devices.  If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask an usher on Sunday morning, or to call our church office (413-737-5311) on a weekday.  We will be delighted to assist you in any way that we can.

We look forward to having you join us for worship on Sunday!
