What is Youth Fellowship?
The General Conference of the United Methodist Church states that the primary task of Youth Fellowship (YF) is to:
• love youth where they are,
• provide them with opportunities for nurture and growth,
• encourage them in developing their relationship with God,
• challenge them to respond to God’s call to serve their communities.
Our YF programs are designed to meet the spiritual, physical, social and emotional needs of children and youth. The focus of this ministry is relational, and through participation in a variety of activities including Bible reflection, discussion, prayer, worship, recreation, cooking, arts and crafts, outings, service projects, mission trips and more. Youth learn the value of being in a Christian community.
We have Youth Fellowship for many ages:
Mini-Methodists Youth Group is designed for children in 4th and 5th grade. This lively group meets one Sunday per month from 5:30-7:00 PM, in Asbury Hall.
Junior High Youth Group is designed for youth in 6th, 7th and 8th grades. This group meets two Sunday per month from 6:30-8 PM, in the Youth Room.
Senior High Youth Group is designed for teens in 9th through 12th grade. This group gathers two Sunday per month from 6:30-8:00 PM, in the Youth Room.
